ok i dont know if this will be or anyone else can relate but my tv is on because i am watching the movie signs with mel gibson...
first, i know tv is not the greatest passtime but i keep is on sometimes:eek:

i am use to seeing depression commercials on tv but when i just saw a commercial about a prescription for bipolar disease, i kinda freaked out! i freaked out because that means more of the population is thinking they have bipolar disorder. :(
i admit that i thought i had depression and even bipolar disorder but after being online i realized it was just the change the whole world is going through!

people are feeling they way they do and doctors are giving them pills to solve the problem when that is not the solution...this is all my opinion of course but can anyone else see what i am talking about? ...

i totally related to what you said. i seem to keep running into so called bipolar people, and there's much more to it than that label. the problem with drugs is that they give instant relief, never mind the the consequences. like on the one hand i am opposed to drugs, on the other hand, give me a headache and i won't hesitate to pop that pill.

i have a philosophy on one hand that can't be acted on in the present environment. very frustrating. these days you don't have to watch television, you can pick and choose the good programs and watch them commercial free on the internet. bliss.

that sounds about right 1vib, we all feel that there is something changing and something strange going on which can lead to to think we are going crazy at times.

the constant suggestions from the 'for big profit drug companies' encourage people to succumb to the perceived quick fix of medication which leads to their addiction and then genuine sickness and depression.

i wonder how much of the "100 monkeys syndrome" is going on with mental health propaganda and widespread perception of needing pharmaceuticals to be sane.

i recently read a book about the motivation of the "big pharma" (you'll probably have to e-mail me for the title...) and it very explicitly describes how big pharma is creating sicknesses so they can sell their drugs.

and the biggest problem is that these drugs usually cause more problems and don't even fix anything.

also big pharma has extended the definitions of high blood pressure, high cholesterol as well as many other "conditions" including encouraging bone-density tests and lowering the standards to get more women on osteoporosis meds.

i'm always shocked by advertisements for these new conditions. restless leg syndrome???

and saddened when i see friends and family trying to get off anti-depressants when they weren't even warned at how dangerous they are!
