I see that there are five law of One books (4 plus omitted material in a fifth vol.) Is it best to read them in order then?

Yes. The things in the initial books set up the content in the later books.

You know you can read them for free (in PDF) at LLResearch.org right?

Yes, I would recommend reading them in order as well. Reading David's study guide on the site will definitely help before diving into the material. I read the first four books on the llresearch.org site as well. I just purchased Books I-III in paper back form. I'm almost finished re-reading Book II. It really is true that you pick up on new stuff every time you read this material. What really helped me out in understanding this material the second time around is studying the 7 major chakras as well as the colors and attributes of each and how they correspond to the densities. Having a pretty decent understanding of that material will make the books much easier to understand, although there is still a lot of deciphering to do. Good luck! :D

See I had this gift certificate for Amazon but my sister's birthday is coming up and I know that while she doesn't need my chump change everyone loves the freedom of splurging on something frivolous or just taking a chance on something new when there is no risk. So I decided to add it to the other gifts I have for her and figured I'd get the books in due time.

Well, since I now know they can be d/l for free, it all worked out!

[moderator note - I'll allow this, but let's stay on topic re the Law of One;)]

If you have any tendency toward paranoia AT ALL then don't read the first book first.

In my personal opinion. Buffer yourself with the nicer information of book 2 before the 'This is how powerful the Orion group are' distortions in book 1.

Often I read books last page first followed by random dabbles, which over many years seems to accumulate some sense of order. As such, I'm an unconventional reader and may not be a very good authority on the subject because of this approach (which by the way, seems to have evolved out of dabbling in many useful yet tediously boring scientific textbooks in my youth.)

There seems a paradox here that may have relevance:

Some say that the parrot "talks", though it is "saying" nothing.

So a person "reads" without "comprehending", than what does it matter what order the materials are read?

thus,
Is it best to "comprehend" the Ra Materials in the order they were written?
