first of all, i haven't watched the radio shows, but plan to tonight. however, i wanted to comment about some of the things david said in his blog.

for now the best way to really feel involved is to attend a public event, as the sense of community is much more palpable. you will see me there in close proximity, may get to shake my hand and say a few words, and will definitely meet many amazing people, hear me speak live and be part of that group energy.

i can definitely attest to this having gone to the expo in l.a. in february. shortly after arriving, i ran into david at the organic food exhibit - there he was - david – who wouldn’t want to shake his hand? did i sound like a blithering idiot as i attempted to introduce myself? :o

at the end of the second day of the conference, after david’s second appearance, a couple of us forum members got personally introduced to david by the wonderful chris hamilton and david gave us all a hug. he’s such a warm person.

as for meeting many amazing people, omg, the connection, the closeness that i continue to share with many of the people i met there is a rare gift that i am so grateful for.

if you come to the mexican riviera cruise, you’re far more likely to have a personal experience than my other public appearances since the numbers will be smaller and we have an extended block of time together.

hmmm.

so far, i have managed to have private conversations with every person on every cruise. one or two people complained that they wanted more of my time than they got, and this is unavoidable — we are not guaranteeing any private meetings — but almost everyone comes away very satisfied.

okay, i’ll go.

i do want to remind you that our discussion forum has turned into quite the amazing place. though i might not have time to read more than the first paragraphs of your letter, you can write the same thing into the forum and potentially get multiple answers to your questions and / or share your experiences with others.

it is truly an amazing place. i feel honored and privileged to be a part of it.

i have said it before, and will say it again: i am very impressed, and deeply honored, by the quality and the consistency of your posts. it’s a truly safe place where you can speak your mind and not worry about being shamed, ridiculed or attacked. if someone were to try to hurt you or insult you, they’d never make it through, but our moderation load is surprisingly light — everyone ‘gets it’ and we have a harmonious community

…but contrary to the sentiments of many people writing in lately, your letters are not being filtered — yet — by some other staff person. i do see them all. this may change in the future and i will announce it when it does. .

it is truly a safe place and we have the moderators to thank for that. i think some people feel being moderated is a violation of their freedom of speech, or a form of censorship or whatever, but i can tell you, they do their best to keep it positive.

the quality, in turn, draws out very good material from the participants.

very true, indeed. i have been inspired and have learned so much from so many people here. i love this place.

but as for...

...our moderation load is surprisingly light.

i had to think about this one cause i recently just asked my newly appointed moderator boyfriend if we could spend maybe two nights a month not on the computer moderating and, perhaps maybe going out somewhere...

however the reason for the vast amount of time consumption, i have recently realized, is that every time a link is posted it has to get watched in its entirety and some of them are an hour and a half long.

on the positive side, however, i have seen a lot of good videos that i may never have had the time, or even the interest for that matter, to look at on my own.

but you know, i have heard first hand about the negative stuff that new people try to post and, of course, they never make it through, but the moderators subject themselves to this negativity on a regular basis to keep this a safe place.

to boot, they get verbally abused by many of the regulars, believe it or not, who just don’t understand why their posts, their urls, their authors etc. were deleted or "moderated" - ("pm for whatever"). these guys are just following the rules that are available for everyone to read and which everyone should read before posting, if you think about it.

they angst sometimes over whether to let something through or not, pm-ing each other constantly so as not to offend anyone and, of course, they are on a learning curve as well with chris as their mentor.

they work relentlessly. i know this for a fact.

i know that many forums are crowded with hecklers and poorly-written chicken-scratch posts that may reek of schizophrenia, but we’ve built a true online oasis by having a team of multiple moderators who ensure that the typical attacks that destroy forums do not happen here.

i obviously do not have the time to add content to divine cosmos on a daily basis, but if you start following the forum, you will find that there is more than enough new material to keep you entertained and engaged each and every day. this can be a valuable part of your daily routine, keeping the vibes high and your focus positive.

it’s a valuable part of my daily routine. thank you, david.

wait, i don’t think i’m supposed to speak personally to david, will i be " edited". what if i post this on the “thank you, david” thread, then it may fly ;). (excellent idea for a thread, btw, tamarie, i know we all have such a great appreciation for david and it is nice to be able to express it to him personally.)

one last thing, it’s saturday night, earth hour actually, all the lights are out, and my moderator man is watching one of those hour and half videos i mentioned while i write this post. (lap tops, battery power, of course. ;)

love to you all.

i so nearly went to the expo in feb, alas cicumstances in my life brought other matters to my attention. however i have been feeling i want to attend one of davids lectures, workshops. connecting to others like yourself, myself, would assist me greatly, to be in a group energy thats focused in love, awareness, growth, expansion and david is so very inspiring. big island in hawaii is very tempting and i haven't been to the big island but spent time on maui and loved it. i met many beautiful beings and mamma maui certainly looked after me. however i also live in england so would have to do some major manifestaions with money!!
o and then there is the cruise chioces to be made i feel hmmmmmm

yeah i'd love to visit the whole crew sometime. i used to travel to california quite regularly, but unfortunately there was a falling out with that friend for a variety of reason :(
but there's a reason for everything ;)

i don't post often; in this case i wanted to "ditto" kris' comment. this site is my oasis from the rest of the world. it's such a relief to come to a place where like minds dialogue and explore the topics i am most seriously interested in.
and, the videos are relly great. :d let me add a second 'kudo' to the moderators for the videos that they put through. i have consistently found them to be uplifting, beautiful and extrodinarily uplifting.

thanks, kris for a 'right on' post and thank you david and the moderators.

in grace and gratitude,
happystrings
