each thought has an opposite. identify both those things which you approve andthose which you disapprove within yourself and then balancing each and everypositive and negative charge with its equal.

the mind contains all things. therefore you must discover the completeness within yourself. (b1, 87)</font>

tiffani,

here is another interpretation that may help:
by balancing we neutralize. we are neither
elated or depressed, hot nor cold, black nor white,
etc. from this neutral state we can quickly counter
balance any external polarity of our dimension. from
this neutral state, we may have an easier time coping
with external realities. in order to balance something
negative, we have a shorter span to cover going from
neutral to positive, as opposed to negative to positive.

an example may be balancing "misery and decay" with
something that uplifts your spirit. or balancing shyness
with outspokeness, or vegetarian extremes with a dash
of bar-b-que, or daffy conversation with deep intelectualism,
or coherence with incoherence. the opportunities abound.

confused,
pat
