Something of concern

A friend of mine was reading the Law Of One material from a different website. She was surprised to find I had been reading it too when I posted the link on it.

She told me, however, that she had stopped reading it when she came to a part in which the questioner asked what could be done about psychic attack. I haven't got to this part myself, so I'm not sure what session it was. But apparently the response was that the person should imagine the dark entity before them, and absorb it.

Now, I've heard that this can be extremely dangerous unless the person involved knows EXACTLY what he/ she is doing.

I must admit this did put me off a bit, I even lost some sleep over it because I got thinking about the things some of the Law of One people went through......to which I don't think "accelerated karma", from my viewpoint, explains it. I have a sightly different perspective of "free will" to most, since I don't think we are free at all until we begin to awaken, and to awaken simply means that we see all beings as interconnected, therefore there is no desire to do harm. Until we awaken, it's just as if we are caught up within this dream, not knowing we are dreaming.

Awww, could be that the particular website may be distorting the original message maybe? As a hint, check out the site your friend is quoting, and then go from there, using your discernment. I agree, I compare it to when an entety is consciously dreaming, having choices to make, determining the outcome. This realisation could slowly spill over to our daily illusion, and eventualy, to all dimentions.

Another way of pointing it out is, serrendering the concept of the self/me/and myself to the realisation of WE as ALL.

Perhaps the Dream, or what keeps a soul from awakening, is the Identification with the Illusion. Like you said Emily, maybe seperateness puts a limitation on Free Will. Makes a lot of sense to me.

Perhaps, if you can't bring to mind the part she was talking about- perhaps it is something she either misread, or read somewhere else and confused it with the Law of One material?

I have just finished reading book two, I will be going onto the third book shortly. If I do find the part she referred to, I will copy and paste it here for discussion.

I think that maybe she mis-interpreted, because the LoO material suggests sending the negative greeting love/light and wishing it well on its way. So, you might want to read the exact part where she got her info ;)

The site you linked to is Jody's phone home ET site and has been around for a long time. The second link, in fact, quotes LoO and has received permission (check that out at the top) to do so from llresearch.org , where the complete 5 books may be found online for free. Chris

I face these things just like you would a scared dog or a racoon, if you freak out, THEY will freak out, but if you say for example, " hi (racoon/dog/unknown thing) it's ok, your ok, and talk to it lovingly, it may still be bit scared, but it will wonder away peacefully instead of say barking/growling at, or intimidating you. ;)

Hi.. I'm new and happy to be involved. The subject of "psychic attacks" has popped up in front of my eyes frequently these past few days, so I wish to reply from my own experiences. The best defense has been to hold a perfect Sense of Harmlessness in one's heart and mind, as did Christ.

There is a great story called "what was I scared of?" by Dr Seuss. It is about a pair of scary green pants, "with nobody inside them". My 4 year old loves it.

well.... i was walking in the night
and i saw nothing scary
for i have never been afraid of anything.

then i was deep within the woods
when suddenly i spied them.

be standing in there for?

and then they moved those empty pants!
they kind of started jumping.

i was not scared but pants like that

after that a week went by.
then one dark night in Grinitch
i had to do an errand there and
fetch some Grinitch spinach.
i was starting back through town
when those raced around a corner and
they almost knocked me down.

i lost my Grinitch spinach
but i did nor even care
i ran home believe me
i really had a scare
now bicycles were never made for
pale green pants to ride 'em
especially spooky pale green pants
with no body inside 'em

and next night i was fishing
for doubt trout on rover river
when those pants came rowing toward me
i really started into shiver
and by now i was so frightened
that i'll tell you but i hate to
i screamed and rowed away and lost
my hook and line and bait too!

i ran and found a brickle bush
i hid myself away
i got prickles in my britches
but i stayed there anyway
i stayed all night, the next night too
i'd still be there no doubt
but i had to do an errand
so the next night i went out

What a cute story, and soooooo true! :)

Even with bee's, wasps etc it is ALLWAYS the same principle.

I have never been afraid of them, so they comeover and say "hi", I say "hi" back, and they go off on their way...the people who get stung are the ones who freak out, and start swatting their arms around etc.

I have also seen some of the people with the "toughest, meanest" exteriors, to have the sweetest warmest hearts when you approach them as someone with a sweet warm heart, they do end up BEING that way....even if only towards you. ;)

There's mention of these flying things in book 5 - of using onions and garlic as a repellant. Its one thing to encounter them occasionally and quite another to be cohabitating with them where they are around a lot, (I say quite humbly.) One mechanism of making peace seems that of giving space to that which requires it...

More and more I find the utility of reciting mantrams as a means of displacing more harmful attitudes. It may be that Jesus arrived at such perfect sense of harmless by way of some mantram...

Lately, I've been using this mantram:
"Give us this day, our daily bagel,
and lead us not into temptation..."

(I think of a bagel's shape as embodying a sense of unity.)
