WHITEFISH, Mont. -- A viewer shared incredible pictures of an albino moose shot recently by a co-worker near Whitefish, Montana. The cow moose can be seen foraging for food in a thicket with two other moose.

According to fish and wildlife officials, albino moose are rare but not unheard of. Typically, only 1 in 100,000 moose have the ablino trait, which is recessive.

Sightings of albino moose go back for centuries. Some Native American tribes regard these rare animals as spiritual and mystical or even a re-incarnation of a tribe member.

This rare albino jay was found locally. There was a picture of it in the local paper but I guess they didn't have the picture for the internet edition.

Stacey Nahdee was surprised and a little puzzled when a bird as white as the driven snow appeared in his backyard.

"We were throwing out bread crumbs and I looked up and there it was," said the Aamjiwnaang First Nation resident. "I knew it was an albino, but that's all I knew."

Nahdee grabbed a camera and shot video of the ghostly bird as it flew from tree to tree one day last week.

Malcolm Boyd, the president of Lambton Wildlife, has identified the bird as a blue jay, albeit a bleached and blueless one.

"It's fabulous to see something like that," Malcolm Boyd said. "It's extraordinary to see a white blue jay."

Experts agree that on the rarity of such a bird, but are divided over its survival prospects.

In a recent Sun Media column, birdwatcher Tom Hayman said all-white birds are an easy mark for predators and often have weak eyes and other defects.

But Alf Rider, one of Sarnia-Lambton's most respected birders, believes Sarnia's white jay can live a normal life.

"I would think it'd do all right. It's at least six months old now and could be 18 months," he noted.

If it's a male, however, the genetic abnormality could interfere with his love life. Female blue jays looking for a date seek out big crests and bright colours.

In the video, the eyes of the jay do not appear pink. If so, it is not a true albino but is technically known as "leucistic."


Whatever the case, the appearance of an all-white animal in nature has special meaning for aboriginal cultures, Nahdee said.

"They're considered sacred messengers. It's a good omen."

The white jay is actually the second albino Nahdee has seen this winter. About a month ago he came across an albino squirrel near Marthaville, he said.

"Just by being here, they're bringing a message."

White Killer Whale Spotted Off Alaska

AP) -- The white killer whale spotted in Alaska's Aleutian Islands sent researchers and the ship's crew scrambling for their cameras. The nearly mythic creature was real after all.

"I had heard about this whale, but we had never been able to find it," said Holly Fearnbach, a research biologist with the National Marine Mammal Laboratory in Seattle who photographed the rarity. "It was quite neat to find it."

The whale was spotted last month while scientists aboard the Oscar Dyson, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research ship, were conducting an acoustic survey of pollock near Steller sea lion haulout sites.

It had been spotted once in the Aleutians years ago but had eluded researchers since, even though they had seen many of the more classic black and white whales over the years.

Fearnbach said the white whale stood out.

"When you first looked at it, it was very white," she said Thursday.

I have done countless hours of research on the cosmic alignment of our son and our milky way and also on Planet X (Nibiru)

I have come to the conclusion that the cosmic alignment is a FACT and is most certainly going to happen, however i have not come to the conclusion of WHAT will happen at this time. All i do know is that underground bunkers have been built all around the world and that they inter-link with each other, i can't see them building these just because a nuclear war might erupt, i personally think at present is that it is because in 2012 we are either going to feel the full force of the SUN which will be devastating to us all OR we all are going to be exposed to Radiation that is deadly. I have researched Davids work and watched the videos that are available and i agree with mostly what he states and i thank David for the info - It is GREATLY appreciated, however i feel their is information that is not being told because it might panic us and i fully understand and empathize with that. I personally would like to know if everything is going to end in 2012 as i would walk a different path in life.

I can relate to the theory that we will be unlocked from our 5 sense prison in 2012 but will that be by death? It sounds feasible to me that this is the answer.

In regards to Nibiru i am 50/50 on this, people are always sending me emails asking me, is it true! what shall we do, do we prepare for the event, they are tough questions and i simply say just wait till next year and see if this planet can be seen but in the meantime however do as much research as you can!

i would really like to hear peoples OWN views on these 2 subjects and from people who have done as much research as me on them.

The white deer visited again yesterday, 3-22-08, in the evening. Band of 3, came very close, 20 feet... looking for food, fed what I had, no corn, just grain. Anyway, just thought I would mentioned. It is not albino .

I think so. All I know is I feel soooooooooooooo great it is unreal, and just feeling better by the day and minute it seems.

I also have been somewhat of a waking dream of breaking out of a layer of skin, out into a rebirth in pure whitness of a fresh canvas of creation. :) I almost experience the thought, like a rebirth, feels like when you get water up your nose, but with instant relief and wonder afterwords, self love, knowing and confidence and purity. Still me, but knowing me completely etc. :)

I wanted to send a quick note and hopefully bring some peace to your fears. 2012 will not mark the end of the world, but rather the end of current times. Judging from David's work and others that felt very true, it appears that the planet will actually evolve from the 3D existence into 4D. The changes that will happen as far as weather events and other not so pleasant occurances are just a planet's way of cleansing and will not affect you if that's not the reality you create for yourself. I think the fears that you may experience might have something to do with your past lives and memories that are activated on the cellular level. This might be because you lived through less pleasant experiences in your past lives. I found this site which is absolutely amazing and gave me a new perspective of what will happen. I really hope this brings peace and understanding that what's happening is very exciting and from the perspective of your soul, this is one cool incarnation to go through.

5 years ago my wife and I were looking for property in the central coast region of California, and on my first visit to the parcel we ended up buying, we saw a white deer. The seller told us this was a good omen, and that there were white deer known to be in the area but that they were rarely seen. I have not seen white deer on the property since that day, and I have heard that one of the neighbors down the road is a "game hog" and that he will shoot anything that moves. I still watch for white deer.

I know this is silly and not really related but today when I was pulling up some carrots from the garden I pulled up a white one among all the orange ones.(and no I only planted orange ones:p)

Last year, actually, in Dec 07, a young white deer appeared with several others. There was the leader, a large male stag walking so gracefully in front or to perhaps move your eyes from the herd.

Well, I am excited to report, that today, a ban of deer appeared with the white deer. The stag was also with this group. Beautiful and powerful! Last year, the young white deer was off white, this year, this deer is pure white. They also joined a group of 3 lamas that are roaming on these 100 acres. I have to say, I think the Iamas might be providing some protection.....

Anyway, if my photo works out, I will post later. This deer is in N. Texas

I was reading in a muslim news paper thats at a restuarant i go to that alot of the birds in the areas where they r constantly bombing and such almost all the birds have left.The crows being the longested to stay on the gaza strip and other central fighting areas

You know, I cant help but recognize another HP reference here.
The stag, was Harrys patronus - a white stag. It served to protect him from the dementors (who basically suck out your soul). It also could serve as a messenger on a sort of spiritual type level.

The other characters had individual patronuses as well, each varying animals.

There was also a silver doe (basically white that was emanating a moonlit glow, hence silver) that acted as a spiritual guide on the behest of someone looking out for him.

So I bring this up because I do feel this ties in with whats happening in our world today. So many things in that series do. The semblance of these beautiful white animals bring us a sense of peace and tranquility and wonder - which helps elimate fear. Much like the patronus.
