Just 'happened' to stumble across a documentary on the History Channel about the lost book of Nostradamus. I think I may have seen this discussed here, but thought it was pertinent for several reasons.

There is some discussion as to whether the book is an original work of Nostradamus, and some indication that it may have been a copy, as the original probably went through some wear and tear over the years. It was reportedly given to a Cardinal at the Vatican who was in charge of the Vatican Library. It was given by Nostradamus' son, Cesar. Supposedly, it was 'lost' in the library for quite some time, and just recently surfaced between other books.

What is interesting is that scholars seem to think that this last book may make reference to what most have considered as the end of time. In fact, the illustrations seem to definitely call that out, and the arrival of the Third Anti-Christ (which the show seems to believe is Osama Bin Laden).

It also gives an indication as to when this end of time will occur... it represents a time where there will be 3 solar eclipses and a lunar eclipse, and when the sun rises at the Galactic center (I am trying my best to remember the details they provided). Ironically, astrologically those event narrow down to a 20 year time span... from 1992 to 2012... hmmmm..

While it portrays a story of horrendous doom, it also indicates that just as Noah had an ark, there too will be an ark of sorts, and those who chose so, can climb aboard that ark for a dawning of a new era... Or stay in an apocalyptic (oh boy, I know I butchered that word) realm...

So, I hope this is of interest and value. It caught my attention because it seems to parallel so much of what we are discussing here.

It was on the History Channel, and I would assume you could also catch it on other days. I know you can also order it from them as well.

Anyone else see this, or know about this lost book?

I saw this show a few nights ago too,I just have a hard time believing that -anything- that is "held" by the Vatican is in its original form.

Even so this show was quite interesting, very much gloom and doom though, which makes me think the Vatican has embellished some of the quatrains to their liking.

Hi Bill, yes, I also saw the show., interesting and would like to study. I also found it interesting about the 13 zodiac . It has been awhile since I watched, but will watch to see if it comes back on the History Channel.

ya i have to agree with Dancinglove on this one, the vatican has it's own agenda and the fact that they overlooked this lost book is very suspect to me. I've read too much into Vatican chicanery to believe that the just happened to let this out, i'm not buying it.

Interesting comments. One could theorize on the reasons the book mysteriously appeared now, and the messages it conveys. One, I suppose, could insist that the Vatican is using it to scare people back to them... although the images about the decline of the Vatican would seem to be counterproductive.

Yes, from the initial glance, it does appear that the message is one of impending doom, and we all know that certainly could be one possibility of the infinite choices that exist. What intrigued me, however, was the information about the astrology, and how it aligns with the information being discussed here, specifically the alignment of the universe. And, if indeed that brings on the huge surge of energy surely could be an explanation of the cause of the damage that is described as well. So, again, the question appears to be: what do you choose? Will you see and remember the higher vibrational energy available, and ascend with it? Or, remain here, so to speak, and apparently suffer with everyone else... Is that the jist of the LoO and 2012 information I have read?

I was also intrigued by the 13th Zodiac, although I could not remember the name of it, and I thought I saw something of that referenced here as well.

Anyhow... What do you choose in this moment? I grieve at the thought of the pain and suffering, but focus on being here now, giving what I have, and hopefully sharing my love and insight with my family and friends, when they are willing and ready, that is.

I wish I had the History channel; I can only see the lost book of Nostradamus documentary now if/ when I'm able to order it from their website. I have the Uk history channel but all the do is constantly repeat the same old stuff over and over. If you go to their website through, their are some interesting trailers and short videos.

Dear Friends,

John's the "man" when it comes to Nostradamus. Here's his reply to the show. By the way, Nostradamus never mentioned anything concerning 2012 and the end of the world...

THE LOST BOOK OF NOSTRADAMUS

A Review of History Channel's New TV Documentary
All material © John Hogue

Friends,
Sunday, 28 October 2007 was Nostradamus Day on History Channel.

First, we "warmed up" with a replay of the popular Ice Road Truckers series. While burly men barreled down roads of ice over frozen Canadian lakes, the upper left corner of my TV frequently blazed a warm and inviting Gothic title of the premier treat to come with a time clock subtracting second-by-second the time remaining before a documentary would introduce to the world Nostradamus' greatest and long lost book of prophecies.

After the sun went down and the ice truckers faded into the Arctic sunset, earlier Nostradamus History Channel documentaries played warm up band for the big-ticket event. The first was a show I had the pleasure to appear on as a guest called "The Other Nostradamus" – a comparative study of America's greatest 20th-century prophet, Edgar Cayce, and the 16th-century mage of France, filmed in 2005. I regard it as the best documentary I have appeared on, to date. After "Other" came "Nostradamus: 500 Years Later," a two-hour epic documentary from 2003 with great production values – except for some Nostradamus sequences with an actor ruminating on the future in his secret study with a stiff glued-on beard. It struggled to be historically factual about the life of Nostradamus while debunkers, such as bombastic Pen and mute Teller (thank goodness because he really has a potty mouth in private) go toe to toe with a stalwart second string assortment of Nostradamian scholars. I can't tell if some of them were trying to look like Nostradamus or like yours truly.

Then came the big event: a two hour romp with great production quality, whizz-bang special effects around the subject of a book by Nostradamus no less, that had been "discovered" in a public Library in Rome in the mid 1990s. The manuscript apparently was handed down to posterity by the prophet's son, Cesar (pronounced "Say-zar") to Cardinal Barberini in Rome in 1629. Its predominant feature is a set of esoteric pen and ink illustrations, thought to be symbolic works of prophecy about the future of the Catholic Church during the end times -- our times it seems.

Well, I guess we are all way off in our understanding, not only of Nostradamus, but of our obsession about 2012 and ascension???

Two cents... First off, Nostradamus had a different date for the end of the world and it was not 2012... It was something like 3700. Secondly, if any of you had watched the Conspiracy show that was about the nine 11 attacks it was so biased and washed out that I had a hard time digesting this Nostradamus show as the THC has a history (no pun intended) of putting out half truths. Lastly, by putting BinHiden's head as the antichrist, it made the show political (see above for nine 11 show) Take from it what you want but I did not enjoy the show, especially since at the end, after all the fear they mentioned that it MAY not be a real copy or original, let alone from the man himself.
