View Full Version : Polarizing

Hi!

There is a gentleman in my office that I beleive to be slightly
negatively polarized. He hurt his foot this past weekend, and it's
somewhat painful for him to walk around. I thought it would be nice
to get his lunch from the cafeteria and offered to do so. He
accepted, and took advantage of the situation (asking for quite a
lot, had to go back and get something else). I never even got a
thank you. Of course, this was all exactly what should've happened,
but I feel confused. Did I gain positive polarity for helping
someone in pain? Or did I lose positive polarity for helping a
negatively-oriented individual?

PS: He just thanked me... Must've heard me think!

Another question that is somewhat similiar that I was thinking of
this morning... If you have a preincarnative agreement to do
something hurtful to someone else and do it... do you lose positive
polarity? Let's say you needed to say something awful so that a
person would react a certain way and do something ten times more
positively polarizing. What happens?

Thanks!

Rather than wondering whether you gained or lost
polarity, it's probably more useful to look at your
feelings and reactions to the situation and try to
understand that. A good look at your thoughts in
response to catalyst is often the most revelatory
measure to take.

A preincarnative agreement to hurt somebody? As in,
you have no choice in the matter?

You may have a bias from past-life karma, but I think
the impulse to decide that your free will has been
surrendered is the real question.

I'm not pretending that these are direct answers to
your questions; they're just my reactions.

That is good advice, J., and could be summed up by the words: "follow
the heart" and you can't go wrong.

Hi all.
One of the hard core lurkers here. Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents on
service. I know we know when we do something. we are aware. But if we
are constantly trying to meaure our reactions on a STS/STO scale I
think the focus is off.
Our reaction to a situation can become such that to help someone the
best we know how is the only alternitive when our connection to the
One is " plugged in" inside. And that is what meditation will do. And
the best help we can give someone might be to let them work through
their own "stuff" and get out of the way of their learning.
But how to know? Ah , being centered and letting that small voice
guide you. Hey wisdom + Love, kind of a 5D thing! And to me , that is
how meditation is not a self ( small self) centered thing.
A great analogy that I have thought about for years from my yoga days-
practice is like a bird with 2 wings and a tail. All are needed for
flight. One wing is service, one wing is satsang, or company of
truth, (kinda like what we're trying to do here); and the tail that
directs and guides the flight is meditation.
Keep up the good discussion !

Wow, thanks Rob. Great post!

You definately encapsulated well what I was trying to
say.

Exactly. Remember that the whole reason we even exist
in these limited forms, the whole reason we're going
through the densities and evolving as souls from unity
back to unity, the whole reason for this great game or
mess or whatever this existence is, is *so the Creator
may know itself.* So the best thing you can do is not
get too caught up in the game but just try to
understand yourself. If you really do this,
meditation being one means to this end, then I think
the very nature of 3D life will naturally push you in
the right direction regarding polarization.

Your post was true gold, Rob. Sometimes I think I
make these concepts too complex when they really are
as simple as being "connected." You don't need some
dude on an email list to tell you how the universe is
when its all there at your fingertips within you!

Look forward to reading more of your contributions in
the future (?).

Jeremy
