In session five we find this:

Questioner: We have decided to accept, if offered, the honor/duty of learning/teaching the healing process. I would ask as to the first step which we should accomplish in becoming effective healers.

RA: I am Ra. We shall begin with the first of the three teachings/learnings.

We begin with the mental learn/teachings necessary for contact with intelligent infinity. The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence.

Within the door lies an hierarchical construction you may liken unto geography and in some ways geometry, for the hierarchy is quite regular, bearing inner relationships.

To begin to master the concept of mental disciplines it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

The second mental discipline is acceptance of the completeness within your consciousness. It is not for a being of polarity in the physical consciousness to pick and choose among attributes, thus building the roles that cause blockages and confusions in the already distorted mind complex. Each acceptance smoothes part of the many distortions that the faculty you call judgment engenders....

For a long time now I really love this technique because it sounds so logical but it is so hard for me and I never truly understood what was meant with identifying and truly accepting my polarities.
For people who have a similar experience with this or are interested it but don't really know how to start or it just doesn't sound clear, maybe the following can help.
I just returned from a big mind workshop with genpo roshi, a zen master with 35 years of experience who created his own technique. Essentially it is really the balancing technique from the law of one! I'm very excited about this because it is so refreshing and so clear. I will give an example which shows how similar it is to the technique above:
So genpo developped a voice dialog technique which goes a little like this.
He asks permission to speak to different parts of the self. For example the narcist. He asks "to who am i speaking", the group reply's "to the narcist". He then goes on with asking questions, "who is the narcist, what does it feel?" People sponteously answer: "I love to be in the center of the attention" etc...
On this way the several parts, most importantly the parts which are considered bad are completly allowed and accepted in their several dimensions. They are recognised, owned, accepted instead of surpressed. The goup dynamic gives this an extra strength.
He then goes on with talking to other parts, like the non dual mind, unconditional love,... How does it feel and so on. How it relates to the dual mind which again reflects the geometry and hierarchy of the mind!
Considering a triangle, from the dual mind to the non-dual mind and the most interesting part is how he integrates it into the apex, the human being, the one who consciously choses to be a human.
So for those who are interested in the ra balancing technique but don't really know how to start or want a guided way in experiencing it, I really recommend this. For more info check [please email Filip for url] greets,
Filip

When I read the topic "balancing and healing in the law of one" I just naturally interpretted this as "balancing and healing of the law of one", which struck me back to the idea that centuries ago there was a glitch that happened where the law of one was kept secret within an ellite group.

Of course the idea of hierarchy comes to mind - and the idea that the mind exists in a hierarchy of the physical body - for some. Related to this is the idea of how people energetically evolve, that some may open their "third eye" first before they open "their heart" and this condition can cause them to fall misled due to an imbalance of love/wisdom.

In any case, there seems a sorrow attached there which may be analogous in some way. For instance, maybe societies "third eye" opened before its heart center and this is heading toward a sorrowful condition. An example of this may be how the economies of the dollar can make decisions for people. So in this sense, I'm left with the question, how can awareness of the "law of one" be "healed and balanced" within our society?

Maybe the answer is within this thread...

Hi Filip,

This genpo technique of talking to an aspect of oneself is similar to psychological counseling techniques, both Gestalt and Nuero-Linguistic Programming.

In Gestalt, the client is facilitated to dialogue with a dis-owned aspect of himself, for example the inner child, the goal being to simply express stuck and previously unexpressed and unacknowledged emotions.

In the NLP reframing technique, the counselor dialogues directly with a sub-personality of the client that is identified as being in charge of a dysfunctional behavior. The counselor will ask the sub-personality what the loving reason was behind the original adoption of the particular behavior, and ask it if it is willing to collaborate with the higher self or the creative sub-personality to come up with a new behavior that has the same goal. This new behavior would have the support of the whole personality.

These are two of the helpful "Spiritual Psychology" techniques taught at the University of Santa Monica. It is a wonderful school. In fact I recently wrote a paper and gave a short presentation in class on my own counseling style that showed how the techniques taught there are compatible with the Law of One!

Hello!

Great thread! This is what I think comes first to have a successful spiritual development! There is a danger that a person jumps to "higher techniques" like meditation, esoteric knowledge and channelling without having done the personal work of contacting one's own shadow and acknowledgeing the wounds that still have a great impact on ones behaviour. It's the "Peter Pan-syndrome" in psychological terms, trying to escape pain and selfscrutination, access magical powers, fly away but remain in adolescense, not growing up.

I don't know wheter there can be wisdom without love....
there can be mental powers without love, but wisdom:confused: , je ne sais pas..

Liliane,

You are so correct. When I first "got into this", I was always trying to perfect myself, which included identifying things about myself that I deemed "imperfect" and needed change. In other words, I was suppressing aspects of myself in my pursuit to spiritual growth.

Unfortunately, there are just some things about each of us that we can't really change - the conflict becomes so great that we falter on our paths to growth, which can spiral the complete opposite way, to destruction.

It was here, on this forum, that I learned from David and the other forum members about accepting your "Shadow Self", integrating this aspect, that while we may not like it, is still a part of us. Integration leads to wholeness, which leads to growth.

So, for me, its always gone back to the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

There was another quote that David has shared from the Law of One:

The purpose of an entity in [third] density is to:

* experience all things desired,
* to then analyze,
* accept, and
* understand these experiences,
* distilling the love and wisdom found within them.

Nothing is to be overcome. That which is not needed falls away.

So, each moment, each experience, whether it be in love or even in anger, should be experienced, not suppressed. Again, back to the word acceptance.

wisdom <--> light
compassion <--> love

Love and light are, within the LoO philosophy, effectively inseparable; they interact to create the experience we enjoy (or suffer through).

Wisdom and compassion are akin to subsets of experience from the different aspects of the Creator's creation. Compassion is an experience associated with Love, and wisdom is an experience associated with light. wisdom and compassion can be "separated" but wisdom/love and compassion/light as well as love/light are effectively unable to be separated... They are unitary complexes of experience.

this is all based solely on my synthesis of the LoO and I don't claim to be an expert though my phrasing frequently belies that intention.

This seems emphasized so much that it can seem easy to take it for granted -as if in the intense experiences it can seems so basic as to be discounted. That is, within the Ra materials there seems repeated encouragement of striving for balance of love/light, as opposed to allowing imbalance which can lead to breaking points. I think that the triadic harmony of Jim/Don/Carla acted as an example of this concept at play which further emphasizes it.

Also, Carla/Don/Jim = love/wisdom/power

I've always been fascinated by this concept of the triad. It seems to show up in all kinds of places, i.e., Father-Son-Holy Spirit; body-mind-spirit; father-mother-child, etc. While a trio is simply three units, the triad is the formation of one complete unit created from the totality of all 3 individual units.

Edgar Cayce's channeling was arguably also fueled by triad energy, with him as channel, his wife as questioner, and Gladys Davis as scribe.

Possibly there's lesser degrees of direct conflict within trios because two in polarity can be diverted off conflict by the third, as if the there's some important harmony which can be better sustained that way.

I wonder if a formum thread can act as a doorway - the words within as constructed with symbolic forms (alphabet) that conform to ideas of hierarchy.

In this way, participation in such forums can play as contact to intelligent infinity - or else as metaphor so.
