A cold spell soon to replace global warming

MOSCOW. (Oleg Sorokhtin for RIA Novosti) – Stock up on fur coats and felt boots! This is my paradoxical advice to the warm world.

Earth is now at the peak of one of its passing warm spells. It started in the 17th century when there was no industrial influence on the climate to speak of and no such thing as the hothouse effect. The current warming is evidently a natural process and utterly independent of hothouse gases.

The real reasons for climate changes are uneven solar radiation, terrestrial precession (that is, axis gyration), instability of oceanic currents, regular salinity fluctuations of the Arctic Ocean surface waters, etc. There is another, principal reason—solar activity and luminosity. The greater they are the warmer is our climate.

Astrophysics knows two solar activity cycles, of 11 and 200 years. Both are caused by changes in the radius and area of the irradiating solar surface. The latest data, obtained by Habibullah Abdusamatov, head of the Pulkovo Observatory space research laboratory, say that Earth has passed the peak of its warmer period, and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012. Real cold will come when solar activity reaches its minimum, by 2041, and will last for 50-60 years or even longer.

Fascinating. Hope this manifests for real. I love snow. And winter sports~ Ice skating, skiing, .... :) :)

Snow is fun for a little while until you've lived in it for many years. They don't call Canada the Great White North for nothing! lol

Right now because of the plowing service that comes to clear our driveway after every big snowfall, the piles are almost taller than me and the regular snow fall in the fields behind the house are over knee deep, and I'm 6 ft tall.

You get tired of being cold after a point, tired of clearing snow from vehicles and steps on the house, tired of not being able to walk properly because you could slip and fall at any moment. Even with proper winter gear, still possible to become injured.

Snow and cold is great for play, but when there is work to be done, it's really just a royal pain.

It would make a change for us in desert areas to have cool temps and snow! I know plenty of Arizonans that would like a change from 115 F summers! On the other hand, alot of people came here to escape shoveling snow and scraping ice. Maybe they can move to the Equator...just kidding. LOL Maybe I wasn't crazy to move to the desert after all...
Peace ya'll,
Val

I've seen the rapports from NASA and other places that seem to give a different slant to the climate changes on earth. Remember the acronym for NASA also means Never A Straight Answer - quote from the Enterprise Mission and Hoagland. The planet is going to be remagnatized for 4D anyway and I don't think the scientists are able to understand what they are seeing on the sun. this is the power of fractionalized information - the lies are different at every level:mad:
I wouldn't go out and buy skis unless you already live with snow on the ground during winter time.
