An average of 1 meteor every 2 seconds could prove to be quite the cosmic
experience... it was weak last year so it should be stronger this year. I
remember at the time there was a big hoopla about how it could bring down
communications systems since they'd never hit it at this level of intensity
in the last 35 years, which is essentially before they ever were up there.

Peace be with you -

Spectacular Meteor Storm Set For
The Americas, Asia, Australia
11-16-1

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The most spectacular Leonid meteor storm in 35 years
is forecast for Sunday in the Americas and Monday in Asia and Australia as
Earth passes near centuries-old debris left by comet Tempel-Tuttle.

The celestial storm could affect some satellites orbiting close to earth, so
NASA scientists are making sure their spacecraft stay out of harm's way.

Leonid meteors -- so called because they appear to come from the same part
of the sky as the constellation Leo -- fall to Earth each November, but this
year's show should be especially dramatic, with some 30 shooting stars
streaking across the American sky each minute at the storm's height and
perhaps 100 a minute over eastern Asia and Australia.

During a normal year, Earth encounters some 10-15 Leonid meteors an hour at
best.

This year is special because Earth will travel close to three paths of
cosmic dust and debris left by comet Tempel-Tuttle's previous trips around
the sun.

The comet orbits the sun every 33.25 years and takes a slightly different
path each time; on Sunday and Monday Earth will swing near to dust trails
left in 1699, 1767 and 1866, according to the American Meteor Society.

Observers in extreme northwestern South America, Central America and North
America are likely to see meteors shooting across the heavens around 5 a.m.
EST (1000 GMT), when Earth gets near dust trail left by the 1767 encounter.

Those in eastern Asia and Australia have two chances for good viewing, with
the first meteoric outburst, spawned by the 1699 debris trail, expected
around 12:30 p.m. (1730 GMT) Sunday, or 1:30 a.m. on Monday in Korea and
4:30 a.m. in eastern Australia.

METEOR-GAZING PARTIES

The 1866 debris path could send meteors streaming aloft just 45 minutes
later for Asian and Australian observers.

The American Meteor Society gives tips on best observing times and
conditions on its Web site, www.amsmeteors.org.

Meteor-watching parties are planned from New York state to California to
Hawaii and other events are slated for Taiwan and Australia, according to
the National Aeronautics and Space Administration site,
www.leonid.arc.nasa.gov.

At NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, where astronomers work with many
orbiting spacecraft, including the Hubble Space Telescope, Bob Sodano is
charged with cutting down the risk the Leonids pose.

Most Leonid meteors are about the size of a grain of salt and vaporize high
in the atmosphere, posing no threat to anything on earth or even to
aircraft, Sodano said in a telephone interview.

But though they are small, they are exceedingly fast, moving at 44 miles per
second, and impact with a Leonid might affect might affect computers or
power sources on satellites in low-earth orbit, Sodano said.

This high speed means Leonids vaporize on impact, forming a cloud of
electrified gas called plasma, and this cloud might cause a short circuit in
a satellite, possibly damaging some of its electrical components.

Sodano said the 20 or so NASA spacecraft at risk during the storm will be
pointed away from the direction of the Leonid stream, and high-voltage
components will be turned down.

It's nice when people feel magical. The movie Harry Potter opens and
its supposedly going to be a huge moneymaker. Might be hype but its
like everyone in the public is talking about it. People desire the
return of the mystical in their lives. This coming meteor shower is
another event where u can see peoples eyes twinkle in a childlike
way. I think that's the best approach to living in these times.
Remain open and receptive to the increasing energies. We may not be
able to individually ascend before 2012, but as we get closer to
2012, correct me if im wrong someone, we are still going through
consisitently quicker energetic upgrades. That I believe was the
purpose of the Mayan Calendar, to mark out the ratcheting up of
energy to the final mass ascension in 2012.

The thing is, if u just meditate and in that way flood your being
with the energies of consciousness as a result of cure of the
sickness of the M I N D. People THINK TOO MUCH. But what they don't
realize is that by meditating and freeing up your mental energies
from consistant thinking, a SIGNIFICANT amount of energy then is
available for the physical body, the energy body. ITS SO MUCH MORE
ENERGY THAN PEOPLE REALIZE. The Mind is an actual body. Most people
are basically overusing it. This depletes VAST amounts of PERSONAL
ENERGY. If you meditate and free that energy up, you will increase
the VIBRATION or FREQUENCY of your energy fields, as a result of
opened chakras which opened due to the increase in energy.

But it's also true that you will natually turn on your healing
ability in these times as a new enegetic level is N O W present on
this planet as a result of the ratching up to 2012 process. Remember
this is almost 2002! The energies have risen dramatically since 1995
in my opinion.

The funny thing is how because of the brainwashing of mass
consciousness by the media business, politics etc. no one realizes
how much more energy there is N O W. Their minds are so busy, that
human dis-ease common to nearly all of us. Mmy monkey mind is a real
weiner-shnitzel somedays, and other days i sit back in detatched
contentment...if im lucky S I L E N C E flows thru my whole being,
all levels of my Self, and i feel that Center, and everything is OK.

The misuse of humanities energies (thru sexual intercouse which
depletes a vital energy source and needs to be transformed into
meditative energies...sympton of unconsciousness. Thus keeping the
chakras closed and preventing the energetic upgrade to a large extent
thus missing out on the great opportunity for enlightenment, healing
abilities and the chance to serve as a highly effective STO as we get
closer to 2012.

Within your own energy fields...much is possible N O W! in a way that
your energies are conserved, it appears we can all become conduits
for the increasing energies. And our bodies become to reconnect to
the energetic circuit of the universe and we begin to HEAL. It's all
about energy to me.

Radiate the energies, become a hollow reed and everything will become
magical. There will be millions of healers. People will have open
communication with the "other side", telepathy...levitation anyone?,

isn't that all pretty much going to happen BEFORE 2012? I
personally feel that with the information being fed into my
consciousness from the latest in physics that we are already
realizing our infinite capability. This coinciding with the
increasing energies will lead, in my opinion, to a spiritual
renaissance perhaps beyond our wildest imaginations. I will remain
childlike. I even bought and read an x-men comic book recently. I
haven't done that since I was 15. On sunday i hope to see some
meteors. :)
